Terms of Service — Mona

Last updated: 16 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mona ("the App"), developed by Arunachalam P / Skynite ("the Developer", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Mona, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Mona is

Mona is a personal life-admin app for Android and iOS covering document storage (Vault), expense tracking, subscription detection, camera translation, journaling, household task sharing (Family), and recipes. Mona has no backend server of its own — your data is stored on your device and, where you choose to sync, in your own Google Drive account. See the Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

2. Eligibility

Mona is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher). By using the App you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account and data

4. Premium subscription

Mona offers an optional premium subscription (currently billed monthly) that raises in-app limits and unlocks additional features. Premium is sold and billed exclusively through Google Play Billing:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Third-party services

Mona integrates with services operated by others, each governed by their own terms:

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Mona is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Automated features (expense categorization, SMS parsing, receipt OCR, subscription detection, camera translation) are best-effort and may occasionally be inaccurate — always verify anything financially or legally important yourself.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) Mona, including loss of data, loss of profits, or missed subscription cancellations, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because Mona stores data on your device and your own Google Drive, you are strongly encouraged to keep your own backups.

9. Termination

You may stop using Mona at any time by uninstalling the App and, if you wish, deleting the Mona folder from your Google Drive. We may suspend or discontinue the App (or any feature) at any time, with reasonable notice where practical, particularly for features that depend on third-party APIs remaining available to us.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use of Mona after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.
