Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 July 2026
By using Mona you agree to these terms. Mona is provided by Arunachalam P / Skynite ("the Developer").
What Mona is — and is not
- Mona is a personal record-keeping and budgeting tool.
- Mona is not a bank, wallet, payment gateway, payment service provider, or money transmitter. It never holds, moves, or processes your money.
- UPI payments are completed inside your own third-party payment app. Mona only prepares the request and records the result; it does not verify payee identity and cannot guarantee any payment outcome.
- Mona is not a financial, legal, tax, or medical adviser. Forecasts, budgets, scores and health entries are informational only.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import, and for verifying every payee before you pay.
- You are responsible for keeping your device, Google account, and any PINs secure.
- Automatically detected expenses — from SMS, statements, or receipts — are best-effort and should be reviewed. Always check against your bank’s own records.
Backups and data loss
Mona stores data on your device and, optionally, in your own Google Drive. The Developer keeps no separate backup. If you revoke Drive access, delete the app folder, lose your device, or uninstall without syncing, that data cannot be recovered by the Developer.
Premium
- Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There are no renewals.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play Billing and are tied to your Google account. Restore purchases re-applies your unlock on a new install.
- Refunds are governed by Google Play’s refund policy.
- Premium is never sold through UPI, bank transfer, or any channel other than Google Play.
Acceptable use
Do not use Mona for unlawful purposes, and do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
Disclaimer and liability
Mona is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or financial loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Changes
These terms may change as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
